Wheatbelt Education Region West Northam Primary School Teacher - Early Childhood Education 00013193 Teacher, $72,137 - $107,049 per annum (SEA GA 2019) Advertised Vacancy Number: SS/TCH701361 Various Positions West Northam Primary School is seeking two (2) highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher - Early Childhood Education to join their friendly team. We currently have the following positions available: 1x - twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position 1x - six (6) month fixed term, full-time position All positions will commence Term 1, 2022. With an Aboriginal student population of approximately 50%, it is desirable that applicants have experience teaching Aboriginal students and should have experience implementing Aboriginal Perspectives Across the Curriculum in their planning and teaching.
Experience and training in 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching is highly desirable for anyone working at West Northam Primary School. The consistent implementation of 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching throughout the school is vital to ensure that an orderly environment, conducive to learning, is maintained. West Northam Primary School has invested heavily in providing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices to all students.
Additionally, every class has an LED Interactive Panel to assist with the implementation of ICT learning throughout the school. It is highly desirable for applicants to have a high level of skill and experience in using ICT and the ability to confidently integrate ICT across all learning areas to enhance learning. In addition, the teaching of Digital Technologies by the classroom teacher in all classes is required, so experience with coding applications, programs and devices is desirable.
Applicants who are experienced in working with students with a range of disabilities and have expertise in planning a differentiated program, which caters for the individual needs of students, in addition to reporting for Students with Special Educational Needs (SSEN) are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants should have experience and expertise in working with Special Needs Assistants and outside agencies, liaising with stakeholders and working as a part of a team to ensure the best educational outcomes for SSEN. West Northam Primary School worked alongside Dr Lorraine Hammond to implement Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) in the early years, which is now being implemented across all years.
Experience in EDI would be highly desirable to ensure best practice and consistency in learning strategies across the school.
