Senior Project and Planning Officer - Central Review Team Division: Strategy and Partnerships Position No: 011333 Salary: Level 6 $102,966 to $113,590 - PSCA 2019 Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Fremantle Closing Date: 2021-09-15 4:00 PM (YYYY-MM-DD) The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform. The Opportunity This position is responsible for providing project coordination and support for significant projects and large programs of work to facilitate successful project delivery to improve service provision. The Central Review Team, Specialist Child Protection Unit is responsible for responding to oversight agencies who are legislated to review the Department's administration of the Children and Community Services Act 2004.
This includes preparing the Department for Coronial Inquests following the death of a child in the CEO's care and can include Inquests held at the discretion of the Coroner where the Department has been involved with the family. The Central Review Team receives and responds to Coronial Child Death notifications and works with the Ombudsman in undertaking reviews of investigable child deaths and family and domestic violence fatalities.
