A vacancy has arisen within our Rural team for a Valuer who is looking to pursue a career undertaking and defending valuations made under the Valuation of Land Act 1978 . This will predominantly be valuations of Rural Residential and Rural properties for the purpose of rating and taxing, together with market valuations for government sales, purchases and leasing. This role will also be responsible for providing consulting services and advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding property valuations and working collaboratively with others to provide support where required, as well as contribute to the evolution of the team.

Does this role interest you? To be successful in this role, show us your: Tertiary qualifications in property and / or valuations (as prescribed by Regulation 8(1) of the Land Valuer's Licensing Regulations 1979 or an equivalent degree as approved by the Executive Director of Labour Relations) Licensed in accordance with Section 19 of the Land Valuer's Licensing Act 1978 Demonstrated understanding of valuation principles and practices and experience in applying these to apply these to property valuations, to the extent that you can undertake complex rural and pastoral valuations. Ability to work with minimal supervision, monitor progress against performance expectations to ensure deadlines are met. Eye for detail and capability to analyse and evaluate information to develop practical solutions and make informed decisions.
Ability to provide an exceptional service to customers and work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team, providing support and assistance where required. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills that enables successful interaction and cooperation with stakeholders at all levels, including the preparation of a range of written correspondence. Demonstrated capability with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
