Independent Public School - North Metropolitan Education Region Churchlands Senior High School Associate Principal 00030354 Level 5, $145,125 - $156,128 per annum (SEA GA 2019) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/SS701284 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2022 Churchlands Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and committed Senior Secondary Associate Principal who will work closely with the Principal and the administration team. They will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by helping develop and promote the school values, ethos and priorities, and encouraging school staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the school's vision and goals. Churchlands SHS has 5 Associate Principal portfolios.
These are: Human Resources; Systems and Innovation; Senior Secondary; Middle Secondary and Junior Secondary. The successful applicant will ideally have proven abilities in strategic planning, instructional leadership and developing staff. You will lead and model a culture of self-reflection and improvement and provide coaching and mentoring as you promote professional growth and leadership capabilities in others.
The Senior Secondary Associate Principal's role is to lead the school community in the management of the year 11 and 12 programs and pastoral care and includes the transition of year 10s to Senior School. This includes the development of strategic plans and data collection and analysis. They work closely with the Associate Principal of Systems and Human Resources to ensure the timetable and staffing meet student needs.
Additionally, they promote the Senior School with parents and the community. While the position we are initially seeking to fill is for Senior School, there may later be movement to meet school and individual needs. Hence, the successful applicant should possess appropriate knowledge and transferrable skills that would allow them to lead one of the other sub-schools (Junior Secondary, Years 7 and 8 and Middle Secondary, Years 9 and 10) if needed.
