As the Coordinator – Construction & Maintenance, your day will consist of, but not be limited to: Lead staff in all aspects of their work including performance management and staff development. To implement Council’s Capital Works Program, in a cost effective and timely manner. Liaise with residents and community groups and other sections of Council in matters relevant to the position and projects.
Prepare, audit and management of Safety Plans, Traffic Management Plans, Environmental Management Plans and all associated WH&S documentation. Contributing to management of emergency and out of hours management and support with respect to Council’s assets and services. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria: Diploma or advanced Diploma level qualification in Civil or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience in road construction and maintenance. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and contractors. Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance.
