Coordinator Property and Facilities Corporate Services Permanent/Full Time – 9 Day Fortnight Location – Regional Level 7 - $91,211 to $96,532 per annum The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Whitsunday region offers a dynamic environment and is perfectly placed to live, work, play and invest.

The Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Coordinator Property and Facilities. As the Coordinator Property and Facilities you will be responsible for the effective management of Council buildings and facilities in relation to their property management (eg. Leasing, hire etc.

), maintenance, renewal and capital project delivery activities. This position is also responsible for the planning and delivery of the capital works program, project and contract management, managing approved budgets and providing advice and high quality written technical, information or briefing reports as required. Essential C Class Drivers Licence Demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge in property management, building maintenance and project and contract management Demonstrated project management or operational planning skills and knowledge including the ability to deliver within agreed budgets and time frames Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare high quality written reports and documents Experience working with government organisations, lessees, tenants, community organisations, suppliers and trades persons Experience in asset management and maintenance planning of assets and facilities Demonstrated ability to manage and direct staff as and when required Evidence of successful completion of General Construction Induction (ie.

White Card) Desirable Tertiary qualifications in Building, Facilities Management and/or Project Management or other discipline relevant to the position Minimum of five (5) years project management experience Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and administration practices within Government Apply Now To view the position description please click on the job attachments tab above.
