The Opportunity: Veolia ANZ has been selected to operate and maintain the first Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in Australia.
The new $400m state-of-the art plant will start to generate approximately 40 MW of clean energy and will provide a more sustainable solution for the effective management of waste. We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to be part of the newly formed and dynamic team. Reporting to the highly experienced Energy From Waste Plant Manager and with two direct reports, you will be responsible for managing all site maintenance on the ERF.
Operations and Maintenance of the facility will commence in 2021, following construction by consortium partner. Acciona. Newly created role supporting the plant manager in the maintenance of the Kwinana by organising and managing the site maintenance function.
You will also ensure the safe, compliant and efficient maintenance of the facility in order to deliver best plant service availability and performance within approved budgets. Specifically you will: Be responsible for the maintenance strategy Ensure compliance with the company’s quality and environmental management Maintain a clean and safe plat, including all ancillary buildings and structures, access ways, fencing etc during maintenance work, aligning to relevant health and safety requirements Plan and manage planned outages including work specification, quality control and work coordination Maintenance reporting Management of the stores and spare parts for the site All other responsibilities as required. You'll need: A trade certificate level III or IV in the relevant discipline or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline Knowledgeable in welding techniques and quality assurance Knowledge of current health and safety regulations Experience supervising maintenance within a process industry such as chemical, waste incineration or power generation environments involving high pressure steam raising plant Experience managing a maintenance budget and planned system In this role, you’ll discover: Great people and a company that cares ‘Team’ works here - it’s who we are Stimulation and challenge, delivered Opportunity and growth, there for the taking .
