Cannington Community College (CC) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and innovative Program Coordinator - Primary - Curriculum to join our team. As a Program Coordinator - Primary - Curriculum at Cannington CC you will be pivotal in the operational management of the college including reporting, timetable development and the strategic use of school resources to maximise education outcomes. In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the Program Coordinator - Primary - Curriculum provides educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision, and encouraging school staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the school's vision and goals.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail and show high levels of initiative, as well as the ability to work collaboratively. You should have the ability to plan strategically and to identify innovative and practical solutions to problems and challenges in meeting the needs of a large, complex primary and secondary school into the future. The successful applicant will also provide oversight for the College's targeted literacy and numeracy intervention programs in Years 7 - 10.
A sound knowledge of effective remediation programs and practices for middle school students is therefore desirable. Cannington CC is situated in the heart of Cannington's business precinct and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Our experienced and highly trained teachers provide innovative and engaging lessons that motivate students to achieve their potential.
The College maintains a very strong focus on numeracy and literacy whilst catering for the diverse individual needs of our students. We are the only public school of this type in the inner metropolitan area of Perth. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
