Independent Public School - North Metropolitan Education Region Churchlands Senior High School Teacher - Science Pool Ref IPS/TCH700156 Teacher, $72,137 - $107,049 per annum (SEA GA 2019) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH700156 Appointment Pool Churchlands Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 4 2022. Suitable applicants will have the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to teach all levels of Science, including Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) courses in Senior School.
The ability to teach Physics and Chemistry to Year 12 level is desirable. Suitable applicants will be joining a progressive and enthusiastic team who are engaged in implementing a whole school approach to the educational programs offered at the school. Suitable applicants will be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment.
With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, parents and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. As part of your standard practice, you will reflect on and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practices using a variety of methods available within the school. You will provide educational opportunities including Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
Creating and promoting an environment conducive to active and positive learning and which caters for different student learning needs will also be a strength of the suitable applicants. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices will be highly desirable.
