Portfolio Manager

Work with a passionate Vendor Management team within our T&T Partnering function 12 month fixed-term contract opportunity, part-time option available Various locations; Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane The Role The purpose of the Portfolio Manager is to manage and grow commercial relationships with the Technology & Transformation (T&T) provider portfolio to ensure Suncorp maximises the value and opportunities of Suncorp’s investment in key products and service. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity based in either Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney. Some of the day to day duties would include: Lead the strategy for supplier demand management, providing the ability to forecast demand and utilise capacity specific to suppliers Move partners from high to low cost Manage move of partners to offshore Ensure creation of supplier roadmaps Lead and manage a team to work with the domains in lifecycle management, aligning the architectural roadmap to the provision of appropriate products and service Provide on-demand reporting, quality and results tracking Build a culture of professionalism and portfolio accountability Develop sourcing approaches in line with the T&T supplier strategy ensuring competitive tension is enabled across the strategic partners Work with key business stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate, cost effective and timely solutions are delivered Ensure people management disciplines and resourcing profiles are appropriate to changing needs of the environment and business direction Lead ongoing review of rates, skills and delivery across main suppliers Skills & Experience 5-10 years of experience working with Project Management Methodology with a track record of delivery on past projects 2-5 years of leadership experience Previous experience of IT operations and application ownership in a large organisation Proven capability in contributing to the strategic direction of a department Experience in leading teams through periods of change Demonstrated experience with successful project delivery using an Agile approach Sound knowledge of Application and Infrastructure Development processes A proven ability to manage across broad teams and business areas, and ensure effective delivery of multiple projects simultaneously Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and lead leaders Ability to facilitate and resolve gaps/conflicts between the client, business and technical areas Excellent presentation skills to technical and business audiences Portfolio Manager PD.
