NDT Technician - Level 3

NDE Solutions is a leading provider in specialised inspection services to the Oil and Gas, Mining, Defence, Power Generation and Construction industries. NDE Solutions is the fastest growing NDT company in Australia. We are currently seeking suitably qualified NDT Level 3 personnel to join our rapidly growing team.

This is a full-time, National role. Successful Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: Experience and knowledge in the Oil and Gas, Mining, Power Generation, and Construction industries. Experience in the Defence sector is desirable.

A strong team work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external clients. Enthusiasm, drive and a keen attitude towards learning and generating innovative processes Implement newly approved NDT techniques and assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available. Capable of training and examining NDT Level I and II personnel for certification in the chosen methods.

Prepare technical reports for the interpretation and evaluation of data and conclude findings that will reflect the correct judgment to uphold the integrity of examined components or parts. Establish a framework for gathering and synthesizing data to effectively detect and solve quality issues to prevent recurrence using appropriate non-destructive testing strategies, tools and techniques. Stabilize NDT and other processes and implement process controls to establish and maintain process capability using statistical methods.

Participate in both internal and external audits to which it pertains to the application of non-destructive testing. Recognize shortfalls within inspection and testing programs and develop, build and implement new programs to aid business units to ensure the integrity of assets About you: Required qualifications: Essential Criteria: ASNT or AINDT Level II in Radiography/Interpretation, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant IRIS Proficient with Olympus MS5800 and Eddyfi Ectane2. Other qualifications (AICIP, PAUT, TOFD, ECT) will be an advantage Must have a minimum 7 years of experience Good communication and interpersonal skills An understanding and commitment to OHSE Responsibilities for the role: Carry out IRIS, MFL, RFT, & ECT of Heat Exchanger & Boiler tubes.

Develop or use new non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as acoustic emission testing, leak testing, and thermal or infrared testing. Perform, audit and train staff in all methods of non-destructive testing with specific focus on IRIS. Experience: IRIS/RT/UT/MT/PT: 7 years (Essential) ECT: 3 years (Essential) This is an opportunity to be part of an energetic and progressive team and drive transformation and growth of the business.
