Associate Professor/Professor (Acute Care Nursing)
Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) and the Curtin School of Nursing are conducting a global search for a Professor or Associate Professor of Acute Care Nursing to be based at the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). This is a crucial appointment in the Western Australian health sector, spanning both academic and clinical environments in a setting renowned for its pioneering work in digital nursing. The Curtin School of Nursing is recognised around the world as a leader in nursing, midwifery and paramedic education and research, ranking 11th nationally and in the top 100 internationally (QS 2021).
It enjoys a close clinical partnership with the Royal Perth Bentley Group, which is now looking to complement its strength in medical research with comparable strength in nursing research through this appointment. The focus will be on the world-leading Health in a Virtual Environment (HIVE) facility located in RPH’s newly constructed Command Centre, which employs AI and data analytics to improve and expand preventative critical care in ICUs. The appointee will be a research leader, emerging or established, in the field of Acute Care Nursing who has the breadth to engage with other with clinical stakeholders and an abiding passion for the welfare of patients.
This person will have a record of scholarly accomplishment with a translational, interdisciplinary bent, experience in straddling clinical and academic environments, mentorship of junior colleagues and the ability to build and shape nursing research across RPBG.
