Job Description Star and Garter Hotel PTY LTD CHEF REQUIRED FOR REGIONAL HOTEL (Kalgoorlie) SPONSORSHIP CONSIDERED An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable person to support our Head Chef at one of our Kalgoorlie hotels. Our Italian Bistro requires a person dedicated to providing excellent product and service. They will be efficient, cost and time productive, and work well within a team environment.
Extensive experience working in an Italian Restaurant would be highly regarded. Knowledge of Italian food, inclusive of Pizza making is desired but not essential. Duties will include: - Following instructions from Head Chef; - Ensuring that kitchen production and presentation is excellent quality at all times; - Ensuring that all work space is correctly prepared prior to commencement of service; - Coordinate take away food orders - Ensuring kitchen and back areas are thoroughly clean at all times; - Maintaining personal presentation and behaviour to leave a good impression on customers and other staff members.
- Attending the daily kitchen briefings. Skills & Experience Mandatory skills and experience will include: - Experience in a similar role. - experience in Italian Cuisine preferred but not essential.
- Natural ability to work within a team environment. - Completion of a culinary certificate at an accredited cookery establishment within Australia or demonstrable equivalent experience. - Strong organisational and leadership skills.
