Site Reliability Engineer

We facilitate over 70 million patient consults each year by providing software solutions for GPs, Specialists, Pharmacists and Hospitals.
At MedicalDirector, Our SREs are responsible for such things as as building operational tooling, automating operational workflows, performing architecture/design reviews, investigating failures, outages and service degradation, improving our monitoring infrastructure, defining service level objectives and improving the flow of our development efforts. Our SREs partner with different parts of the business with the ultimate goal of improving our products and services. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to have a real impact on how healthcare technology is improving outcomes for practitioners and patients alike.
A typical day might involve: Coordinating with software developers to design and support infrastructure for our business applications Investigating new technologies/solutions and making recommendations to improve our technology environment Monitoring and administering systems such as backup & endpoint protection Automation – looking for inefficiencies and ways to automate repetitive tasks Creating & updating knowledge-base articles and other documentation. Communicating risks and delivery timelines to stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement - i.e.
bettering the way we do things and are Working within a ticketing system with incident & request processes Rostered on-call after-hours support for health departments. You should have: Strong organisational and communication skills with experience developing & instilling a culture of collaboration Down-to-earth, make it happen, analytical and detail oriented with a strong drive and innovative approach Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure Be familiar with Linux and Windows administration Be comfortable with networking technologies (such as firewalls and load-balancers) Have worked with deployment and orchestration systems (like Kubernetes or cloud formation) It would be great (but not necessary) if you: know a bit about security have put together disaster recovery plans know how to write basic code We Offer: A positive and collaborative working environment Opportunity to develop your career in a leading health software company Free virtual well-being classes: Music, Medication, Dance, Pilates, Flow yoga and Barre.
