Product Developer

Advertised on behalf of SkyCiv Pty Ltd. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Product Development Under the direction of SkyCiv’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Product Developer role is responsible for the planning, designing, developing, testing and maintaining of SkyCiv software.

The role requires the employee to be a qualified engineer, and to apply their skills, knowledge and experience of engineering principles to the structural engineering software being developed. As a Product Developer you will be required to perform the following tasks in developing SkyCiv software; Researching and gathering relevant information of SkyCiv design software to apply local design requirements accurately and correctly into its software. Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies within SkyCiv software and utilising existing procedures to remedy the issue Have knowledge of languages such as Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, NodeJs and C++ and .

NET framework. Be able to test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults within these languages by using specified protocols so that applications perform to specification. Assist in the development of general front end/back end aspects of the website.

Including writing, updating and maintaining technical programs and operational procedures utilised bySkyCiv. Have strong communication skills in order to collaborate with other team members for product development. 2. Technical Content Contribution As a qualified engineer, the employee is also required to contribute technical content (in the form of articles, tutorials, screenshots and videos) to the SkyCiv Documentation and blog. These technical pieces will be used for training and marketing of the SkyCiv software and brand.

3. Customer Support SkyCiv prides itself on customer support and requires the developers an engineers to assist in technical support. With aid of the SkyCiv customer support platform, the developer is required to assist in providing: General support for subscribers and users Technical support, including addressing questions regarding modelling, analyzing and interpreting results Live demos, training sessions and webinars (if applicable) OTHER REQUIREMENTS Bachelor or higher in either Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering Experience in computer programming Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment The ability to work autonomously.
