Project Specialist Permanent role Flexible location - Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne About the role The Insurance Projects team partners and collaborates with the Insurance business to help the business achieve its goals. The Insurance Projects team is accountable for the end to end planning, execution and governance of strategic projects. Reporting to the Governance & Planning Manager, the Project Specialist is accountable for providing portfolio management support to the Insurance Project Portfolio.

Key Accountabilities Portfolio Management Support Support the planning, prioritisation, reporting and governance activities across the Insurance Project Portfolio Support preparation of portfolio reporting on time, cost, quality, risks and issues, including fostering a culture of improvement and frank disclosure of project information Support the implementation and management of project change control Key point of contact and support for project governance, including the Enterprise Portfolio Governance Frameworks and Insurance Projects frameworks and processes Portfolio administration support including management of the Governance & Planning SharePoint site, maintaining Portfolio tracking and governance process documentation and team mailbox management Collaborate across Suncorp and build strong relationships within the functional and Business areas to deliver high quality outcomes and ensure project management and associated governance activities continuously provide value. Governance processes, frameworks and continuous improvement: Champion the Group project management frameworks Support the continuous improvement existing governance, delivery methodology and tools Support the execution of quality reviews to assure adherence to processes and procedures, providing coaching and training to the delivery community Maintain a single source of truth for project governance artefacts, reporting and lessons learned Delivery Excellence: Champion a delivery excellence culture and mindset Support the development, roll out and adoption of best in class delivery model including ways of working, practices, processes and behaviours Demonstrate commitment to one team, with focus on relentless execution. Leadership Proactively contribute to the Insurance Projects culture About you Some professional qualification/training in Project Delivery, Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience Experience in project and portfolio management Strong operational knowledge of the business Experience working on large corporate projects Knowledge of Portfolio Governance methods Strong stakeholder management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities Systematic and disciplined approach to planning, organising, decision making and delegation Skilled ability to work in a dynamic leadership team, co.
