Governance & Assurance Specialist

18 month secondment within Consumer Insurance Work in strong collaboration with key internal stakeholders Strong communication and relationship skills required as well as the ability to work autonomously A minimum of 30 hours a week can be for consideration to meet team objectives The Role: The Governance & Assurance Specialist Role involves supporting the design, optimisation and administration of Consumer governance frameworks to ensure effective oversight and compliance management. The role also involves leading assurance and deep dive reviews of business risks or issues to identify root causes and propose recommendations to support continuous improvement, remediate issues and improve results. Key Responsibilities: Drive innovation, removing blockages, anticipate and adapt to the changing market and business challenges by working with key stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement opportunities Support and co-ordinate the delivery of any new and existing projects and change programs across the Consumer team Administer the orderly and organised running of governance activities across Consumer and provide support to users of key governance systems including insights into best practice to ensure key governance systems are updated and fit for purpose Design and deliver the Consumer Governance & Assurance program of work including prioritisation and alignment to the strategy Co-ordination of program of work initiatives including having input into the program of work prioritisation.

Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years’ appropriate industry experience in General Insurance/ Insurance industry qualifications (highly regarded) Minimum 3 years’ experience co-ordinating and delivering project governance principles, disciplines and mandatory artefacts for relevant project classification and requirements Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance strategy design and execution, project management and or business improvement (highly regarded) 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar assurance or governance role (highly regarded) - Demonstrated technical experience in a risk discipline (highly regarded) Experience in communications and change management (highly regarded) If this sounds like you, apply online today.
