Nurse Unit Manager (Outpatient Department)
About your opportunity The Mount Isa Hospital's Outpatient Department provides various services supported by both local and visiting Medical Specialists, Nursing Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health Services. In 2015 19,014 people attended clinics held in the department. A multidisciplinary model of care is used to help facilitate a coordinated team approach.
The Outpatient Department is governed by the Specialist Outpatient Implementation Standard (2017). This role will provide advanced nursing leadership in proactively managing and coordinating clinical practice and the provision of human, financial and material resources in accordance with organisational goals, ensuring a cost effective nursing service focused on providing exceptional, evidenced-based patient care. Requirements: Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences; evidence of these may be required prior to appointment.
If applicable, pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate; this may include criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance. This role may include a 6-month period of probation. What's on offer? Permanent role, 76 hours per fortnight.
Generous remuneration package value up to $144,228 p.a. comprising: salary range between $116,092 to $126,037 p.
