About the Position The Manager, Chaplaincy provides effective operational management and contributes to the delivery of a range of spiritual and faith-based guidance, counselling, programs and activities to the University community, supporting and promoting a non-denominational ethos, specifically within a multi-faith framework.

The position contributes to the development of activities that embrace and promote cooperation and collaboration between faiths and that provide impartial information on a range of religious denominations. au) Selection Criteria for the Position Education and training equivalent to a completion of a degree in Theology, or a combination of education and/or extensive experience managing a large Chaplaincy program, or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training. Extensive experience in providing religious and/or spiritual guidance and counselling to people of diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds, and personal religious/Church or spiritual community involvement and commitment to the multi-faith approach as confirmed by a relevant faith body. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with and support a diverse clientele, and influence high level internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated success in managing a team, with the ability to foster teamwork, recognise positive behaviours and results, and effectively resolve conflict using appropriate and respectful strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and lead community engagement initiatives and programs and to identify, manage, and utilise all available resources for delivery of tangible results.
