Working under the guidance of the Associate Professor and Level B and above Research Fellows, the Associate Research Fellow will contribute to the Just-In-Time Intervention Apps To Reduce Gambling Harm project (funded by the NSW Office of Responsible Gambling) and the Preventing A New Epidemic During A Pandemic: The Influence Of COVID-19 Related Stressors On Gambling Behaviour In The Moment And In The Real World project (funded by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation). Strong quantitative analysis and project management skills coupled with expert stakeholder engagement capabilities will ensure your success within this front-facing position. 0 FTE), with flexibility in number of days for the successful applicant. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting and assisting with research, scholarship or creative activity. Supporting and assisting with research projects and collaborations.

Developing relationships with research, community, industry and government for enhanced research outcomes. Supporting and assisting with the successful application of scholarly and research expertise to innovation and invention, with appropriate involvement in the commercialisation of outcomes. Exhibiting and/or publishing high quality research in journals of high repute.

Supporting and assisting with honours supervision. Developing an early career research plan. To be successful, you’ll have: Postgraduate degree/PhD in psychology or related field.

Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to liaise with consumers, funding bodies, and other external stakeholders. Demonstrated skills in quantitative data analysis using STATA or other data analysis platforms. Demonstrated organisational skills including the demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of data record keeping and a demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact well with participants, students, and academic, technical and professional staff. Ability to develop collaborative work teams and to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated experience in qualitative interviews and/or data analysis.

Desirable Demonstrated skills in the publication of research journal articles, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions. Desirable Knowledge of substance use and/or behavioural addictio.
