The Organisation Norwest Recruitment has been retained by Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation for the recruitment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Link-Up has recently undergone a period of renewal and is seeking a new CEO to focus strongly on leadership, advocacy and programs. Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation was founded in 1980 to assist all Aboriginal people who had been directly affected by past government policies; being separated from their families and culture through forced removal, being fostered, adopted or raised in institutions.

Aboriginal families and communities in New South Wales have been profoundly affected by removal and struggle to find it back home, home to family, country, community and culture … home to where they belong. Link-Up (NSW) supports the healing journeys of those removed, delivering professional, culturally sensitive and confidential research, reunions and Social, Emotional and Wellbeing services to those over the age of eighteen. The Role The CEO will lead Link-Up from a corporate and cultural perspective and making sure the business achieves its people, financial, cultural, and growth goals while ensuring the welfare of Link-Up employees, clients and members.

Reporting directly to an inspiring Board of Stolen Generations survivors and descendants you'll make a key contribution to healing for the Stolen Generations while expanding on your leadership experience. The CEO will oversee and lead staff and be the key liaison to the Board of Directors. The key objectives for the role will be to: Develop and lead a team of qualified people that demonstrate the Link-Up culture Review the business structure for strategic effectiveness in the ongoing delivery of the programs Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships within the Link-Up community and sector Develop and implement key programs and provide support to the member community Oversee all functions within the organisations and provide guidance and direction Ensure and contribute to the operational and strategic decision-making process and provide advice to the Board of Directors in relation to operational matters and company performance Support the strategic vision, purpose and our objectives to lead the transitional stage Manage, support, and develop the team by working collaboratively and to ensure open communication on trauma aware healing informed issues to achieve program outcomes About You Understanding the issues faced by Aboriginal families and communities in New South Wales that have been profoundly affected by removal and struggle to find their back home to family, country, community and culture is a must in this role.

Ideally, you are an individual with experience managing diverse teams, experience of corporate governance and a passion for the community. You will bring: Aboriginality with a demonstrated understanding of the issues facing Aboriginal families in the delivery of quality services to meet the outcomes of Link-Up Proven lea.
