Employment Type Permanent Closing Date 25 Aug 2021 11:59pm Job Title Senior Cyber Policy Analyst Job Description An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Cyber Policy Analyst to join the National Cyber Security Team. This role is flexible and can be based anywhere in Australia. The opportunity: As a Senior Cyber Policy Analyst, you will support Telstra’s National Cyber Security (NCS) Policy function that leads Telstra's efforts to bolster national and international cyber maturity through well informed and implemented cyber policy.
You will aid in boosting national and international cyber resilience through well-developed and informed cyber policy and improved information sharing partnerships. Working in our internal cyber security team, your contributions will help to leverage Telstra’s threat visibility and internal technical expertise to inform Telstra's executives and government on national cyber security issues, policy and legislative formation and assist in the delivery of key national cyber initiatives. Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to: Shape and contribute to the Cyber and National Security Policy function, working with government partners and seek the best security outcomes for Telstra, its staff and customers.
Prepare cyber security briefing materials for Telstra executives. Assist and lead in the preparation of cyber security related government submissions. Drive Telstra’s involvement in National Cyber Security Strategy initiatives.
Manage and represent Telstra at government and local and international industry workshops on cyber security and critical infrastructure protection. Work with internal technical teams to inform this participation. Develop and contribute to external cyber security thought leadership work with a specialist focus on public policy topics and issues.
Develop and formalise a reporting program that will provide internal Telstra stakeholders with actionable, timely, meaningful and relevant insight into the team’s work, Government events and policy changes that impact Telstra and Cyber Security. Build relationships across Telstra to identify new opportunities to communicate cyber security goals and value proposition. Support NCSs strategic cyber intelligence function where required. Mentoring and developing writing skills within the group and the wider Cyber security team. Enough about us, let's talk about you.
To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Background in public policy formation, strategic threat intelligence, regulatory affairs, or a technical cyber security role with strong communication skills and in interest in public policy Ability to analyse and summarise information in....
