Western Australia Police Force Business Support Officer Position Number: Pool Ref 00468 Level/Salary: Level 4, $80,452 - $84,797 p.a. (PSCSAA 2019) Work Type: Permanent - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time Branch: Agile Development Location: Perth Closing Date: 2021-08-31 4:00 PM This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 00468).
This pool will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities (full and part time). Currently there is one full time permanent position available. POSITION OBJECTIVE This position provides coordination and implementation of business and application support initiatives; identifies, develops and executes testing of applications; and evaluates Application Support issues, practices, and/or procedures to provide recommendations for further consideration or action.

Applicants are asked to address the following nominated work related requirements in no more than three (3) pages: Problem solving and analytical skills - Demonstrating initiative and decisiveness. Foreseeing consequences.
Researching and analysing issues, evaluating findings and presenting feasible solutions with minimal direction. Planning and organisational skills - Scheduling, organising, planning work to be undertaken to complete projects within deadlines. The ability to prioritise in a demanding environment and manage conflicting priorities and demands.
Software and systems testing skills - Demonstrated experience in identification of Testing requirements as well as creation and execution of test procedures as well as using standard defect management practices. Note: When addressing the work related requirements, applicants are encouraged to provide examples in relation to working in environments developing and supporting applications in an Agile fashion. Applicants are also required to submit a Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Your CV should provide enough detail (dot points are sufficient) to allow the selection panel to assess your skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form. The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant's ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.
