Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is critical to meeting the climate goals of companies and countries alike yet, today only one percent of CO2 emissions are captured by CCS. If so, this may be the right position for you DNV- Energy Systems is looking for a Consultant, Carbon Capture to assist our customers with Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage/Sequestration (CCUS), a core element of the DNV vision to accelerate action on climate change. To focus our efforts on solutions that maximize value to our customers, Energy Systems is launching a CCUS Market Venture and is now looking to recruit consultants to support our CO2 capture services.
Our services within this domain include: Technical review and qualification of CO2 capture technologies Benchmarking, ranking and selection of CO2 capture technologies Feasibility studies of CO2 capture plants Techno/economic assessments of CO2 capture projects Due diligences for technology developers and investors Support R&D programs This position may be remote or located in APAC offices (e.g., Singapore, New South Wales, Australia), the US (excluding Colorado), any of our Canadian offices (Calgary, Montreal, or Toronto), or European offices (e.
g., Arnhem, Netherlands, Hovik, Norway, Bristol, UK, Hamburg, Germany). Task May Include Contribute to creating and maintaining DNV’s Recommended Practices, databases and digital solutions related to CCUS technologies.
Execute projects together with regional resources and CCS venture members. Build customer relationships and monitor customer satisfaction. Support sales and business development.
Create and maintain collaborative network of connections in the domain of CO2 Continuously strive for new opportunities for improvement or expansion of added value. Requirements Bachelors’ Degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent job experience. Master’s Degree or higher preferred Minimum 5 years of experience Knowledge of direct air capture and carbon utilization technologies is a plus Demonstrated domain knowledge and consulting experience in CO2 capture technologies on technical, economic, operational, and environmental aspects.
Comprehensive overview of state of art as well as innovative CO2 technologies and their applications in different industrial power and industrial assets for CCUS purposes Strong analytical skills, with excellent capacity to summarize and explain concisely complex technical matters (possibly demonstrated by publications and papers) Up-to-date insight on developments and trends about CO2 capture technologies. Familiarity with international CCUS developments, projects and players. Excellent writing/reporting/presentation skills in English language.
