We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs. About the role This position will provide clinical speech pathology services to preschool paediatric clients at Community Health, Eastern Health, utilising both group and individual therapy models.
As part of a multidisciplinary paediatric team, the role will involve high quality assessment, diagnosis, development and management of paediatric clients presenting with communication and/or swallowing difficulties, in partnership with their families, carers and other service providers. The role includes delivering evidence- based services with measurable outcomes within an evaluation framework. Community Health at Eastern Health provides services from Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health, Yarra Junction and Maroondah Hospital.
This position will be required to attend each of those sites on a regular basis. About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Demonstrated experience in paediatric assessment and delivery of best practice speech therapy in both group and one to one models for clients with communication, speech and language difficulties. Eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia including demonstrated evidence of professional development activities equivalent to Certified Practising Speech Pathologist requirements Recognised tertiary qualifications in speech pathology.
