The Workforce Project Manager supports the Queensland Leadership Team in the administration and delivery of matters relating to corporate, governance and election readiness functions, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives. Client Details Our client is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Federal Government. Their role is to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.
Description The Workforce Project Manager supports the Queensland Leadership Team in the administration and delivery of matters relating to corporate, governance and election readiness functions, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives. The Workforce Project Manager also contributes to the day to day management and delivery of staffing projects relating to the conduct of an Electoral Event. This role will be responsible for the recruitment, on-boarding and training of staff working in election roles for Queensland and the Northern Territory.
The role assists in monitoring project timeframes, budgets and reporting and ensuring that project goals and timeframes are met. Assist to ensure the agency satisfies its legislative obligations under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 (Cth) in relation to the delivery of an Electoral Event. Develop a good understanding of AEC recruitment policies and procedures, associated IT systems and use this knowledge to lead the QLD/NT Staffing Team.
Contribute to the design and identification of project components and timelines. Undertake project activities, including resources, budgets, reporting and ensure that project tasks are delivered on time and meet the needs of the end user. Contribute to the preparation of briefs and prepare other content in relation to the project for consideration by more senior staff.
Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of project activities, including identification and implementation of process improvements in relation to the project. Conduct research and analysis to obtain evidence based conclusions and assist in the management, preparation and coordination of policy or procedure formulation and/or project management. Develop and support key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
In addition, represent the agency by promoting it's interests in various forums. Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on functional responsibilities. Make and communicate decisions, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
