Ballot Paper Manager - APS6


The ballot paper production manager is responsible for coordinating the planning, monitoring and reporting of the ballot paper production process including printing and logistics arrangements. Client Details Our client is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Federal Government. Their role is to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.

Description The role is required to undertake a range of complex and challenging administrative and operational functions in election management. These include: Liaise with the ballot paper printing contractor on arrangements for the printing and dispatch of ballot papers including: key dates and requirements delivery schedule final suite and volume of products required candidates lists and other printed products secure delivery arrangements Undertake preparation of ballot paper quantity data, conduct QA check and provide to printer in accordance with contracted deadlines and requirements. Build and maintain effective network relationships with officers at all levels of the AEC, contractors and other stakeholders.

Coordinate the ballot paper proofing process following the declaration of nominations. Coordinate the dispatch of ballot papers from the printer to Out Posted Centres (OPCs) and other states by the AEC logistics provider. Coordinate the receipt of interstate ballot papers, pick and pack process and dispatch to OPCs.

Coordinate the dispatch of ballot papers from the State Office reserve. Profile To be successful for this role candidates should have the relevant skills and experience. Demonstrated leadership, people and/or project management skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement; Ability to work non-standard or extended hours under pressure in a highly agile and fast pace operational environment and take ownership and responsibility for own work; Knowledge and experience in successfully completing allocated tasks, accepting stated importance of tasks and to a compliant standard while delivering results within competing timeframes and priorities; Proven ability to communicate and willingness to engage with diverse individuals and communities and to be flexible and adaptable; Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative, policy and budget parameters; Ability to represent our client in a professional manner and work effectively as part of a team to support the efficient delivery of an electoral event; Be over 18 years of age Australian Citizens only Willingness and ability to pass a National Police clearance.
