Senior Place Strategist

Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch RobertsDay is currently seeking highly motivated Senior Place Strategist to join the Urban Solutions team in Melbourne. The Place Marketing Strategist will provide quality and timely service to our clients and staff through the application of technical skills and knowledge to support new and existing projects and to ensure efficient project delivery. You will work within a multi-disciplinary office environment and will work on of a range of projects at new town and neighborhood scale as well as an array of urban infill and regeneration ventures.

The focus of the role is to assist (or lead, depending on experience) with the development and growth of the Place offer, and to build the profile and reputation of Hatch RobertsDay nationally as Place leaders in the marketplace. You bring to the role. Essential Microsoft Office applications; Adobe Suite (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) (desirable).

Demonstrable placemaking and/or marketing experience within Melbourne’s growth areas Sound knowledge of placemaking and marketing principles, techniques and process Experience in data analysis and research including ability to critically analyse background data to gain insights into the characteristics of a place, including impact of population trends, sales rates, consumer and purchaser profiles to inform the preparation of strategies and competitor analysis data Able to undertake research and obtain insights, conclusions, and recommendations from complex data and incorporate into strategies and projects across planning, place and design disciplines Ability identify and apply local and global marketing techniques and trends to place-led design projects Sound knowledge of community engagement techniques and ability to analyse community engagement outcomes Experience in documenting workshop outcomes and synthesising information to suit the context and brief Able to identify and nurture potential place partnerships Able to meet project briefs, budgets and timeframes Understanding of urban design principles and place-led urban design Exceptional written and communication skills Desirable Contribute and coordinate writing of tenders and project bids Leads placemaking projects from initial brief through to project delivery (facilitation, preparation of Place Visioning or Place Branding strategies, and Competitor Analysis etc) Actively contributes to knowledge sharing and to company intelligence on placemaking matters, including latest techniques and implementation frameworks; Has an extensive knowledge of placemaking principles and practices to drive the strategic direction Makes major contributions to the advancement of placemaking service Oversees the management of placemaking components across a broad range of projects Experience in the development and effective delivery of placemaking and town centre revitalisation projects, urban design, heritage, environmental planning, sustainability, economics and/o.
