About us Tuga Pastries is a second generation baker that has been in Sydney for over 35 years making the best pastries, but most famously known for its amazing Portuguese Tarts. The business continues to grow as we expand our new cafe and restaurant in Alexandria. The business culture at Tuga is one that values excellent customer service, quality products, and a warm and friendly atmosphere where staff are looked after.
We are looking for a full-time Chef / Pastry Chef to join our team, you will work closely with our leadership team in the kitchen. You will be highly creative and, in particular, be able to make a significant contribution to the development of new products and menu creation. The salary for this position will be 55,000 to 65,000.
Qualifications & experience Must have experience in a similar role for 2 years or more Relevant Qualifications Tasks & responsibilities – Fun stuff We are looking for someone with a lot of flair who can really help us deliver products that people just can't get anywhere else. The ability to be technically precise and creative is a must. Tasks & responsibilities – Usual stuff It is work so it cannot be fun all of the time.
As well as the fun stuff you need to We produce the most intricate and delicious Portuguese tarts and pastries in Sydney. You will be responsible for recreating these little master-pieces, day in and day out. Prepare and cook items from our café menu, including non-pastry items.
Plan menus and create specials. Work with management to ensure service is running efficiently for the restaurant.
