Contracts Administrator

Vaughan Civil Pty Ltd are looking for a Contract Administrator to join our team Who We Are and What We Stand For: Vaughan Civil Pty Ltd is a privately owned medium sized Civil Engineering Construction Company. The Role: This full-time position will expose the successful applicant to a long-term opportunity working within our NSW construction team. The successful applicant will have strong MS Excel skills; must be a team player, have effective organisational and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, good time management and prioritisation, analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

The employee will report to the Commercial Manager. Ideal Candidate: The candidate must be able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking, and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone. Key Duties: Review of contract documents including scope of works, specifications etc at tender stage.

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and issue subcontracts. General Subcontractor management including issuing monthly payment schedules. Contract administration – Preparation, administrating, managing and monitoring of contracts.

Review and negotiation of contracts. Prepare specs for contractor proposals. Responsible for project claims and variations.

Management and tracking of contract progress. Liaise with senior management in weekly meetings to ensure goals are being met. Respond to enquiries, resolve problems and build relationships with clients.

Skills & Experience Required: Relevant Diploma and /or Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role Strong Organisational and Time-Management Skills. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with clients. Ability to work in isolation to meet deadlines.
