The Client Moore Park Inn is a highly popular four-star heritage motel situated in the heart of sweeping rural acres and landscaped gardens in New England. They are looking for a Qualified Chef to join their team and prepare meals for the guests of the Motel situated in Armidale. The Role You will mainly be planning and organising the preparation and cooking of high-quality food for the Moore Park Inn.
This is for a full-time role with an annual salary at $60,000 plus superannuation. Duties will include: Set up the kitchen with clean cooking utensils and equipment; Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients; Menu planning and seasonal menu development; Planning, preparing and cooking food in a timely manner; Catering to customers with special dietary requirements including those with allergies; Ensure appealing plate presentation; Examining and ensuring quality of dishes through preparation to presenting; Estimating food and labour costs; Training kitchen staff in cooking processes; Conferring with Motel Manager, Director, co-owner and kitchen staff on food preparation issues; Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene and safety regulations within the kitchen area; Prepare food in bulk for guests and cater to in-house occasions and events; Monitor food stocks and re-ordering food supplies; Freezing and preserving foods Requirements: Hold qualifications in cookery at least in AQF IV level; Have at least 3 years of relevant commercial kitchen chef experience; Be experienced and skilled in these cuisines - Australian, Italian, Continental, Chinese, Indian, Thai and Malaysian; Ensure high standard and quality of food preparation and productivity; Be able to work under pressure and give attention to details Australian citizens and permanent residents preferred Applications close on : 26 August 2021.
