Aged Care Specialist Medical Services Pty Ltd is a multidisciplinary clinic run by a geriatrician in Campbelltown. We also provide care to the different aged care facilities in Sydney area. We currently require a full-time Registered Nurse (Specialist Medical Practice) for our Practice located in Campbelltown.
About the role: As a Registered Nurse (Medical Practice), you will provide clinical care to the geriatric patients both in the Campbelltown Clinic and the aged care facilities, undertake clinical organisation and practice administration, and facilitate communication within the practice environment and between the practice and outside organisations and individuals. The duties include but are not limited to: assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients according to accepted nursing practice and standards working in consultation with other Health Professionals and members of health teams, and coordinating the care of patients Performing nerve conduction studies, ankle brachial indexes, ECGs and vascular doppler ultrasounds under the supervision of the physician providing interventions, monitoring responses to treatment and care plan proposed by the geriatrician Regular nursing home visits to follow up with the patients. Conducting memory assessment scores, frailty assessment scores (like MMSE, RUDAS, FRAIL etc) Answering questions and providing information to patients and families about treatment and care Update/maintain documentation in Coreplus Practice Management Software.
Essential criteria: The successful applicant will have: Current RN registration with AHPRA. Indemnity insurance Minimum 3 years experience performing nerve conduction studies, vascular dopplers, ECGs and Ankle and Wrist Brachial Indexes. Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
