Believing that our people are key assets to achieve these goals the role of Claims Advisor is focused to support our team of Centre Managers and Team Members through early notification. For the right person, this is an opportunity to proactively manage a small portfolio of claims in accordance with State legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to achieve cost-effective and timely claim resolutions About The Role The successor in this role will see a reduction in the frequency and duration rates of our claims by contacting treating doctors in the claims management process and applying prescribed case management strategies. To resolve claims within the earliest possible timeframes by engaging with stakeholders and actioning activities and incoming correspondence in a timely fashion, across a small portfolio of claims to achieve optimal outcomes.
Not one day is the same and comfort around agile working and self-initiative is a factor to success in this role while working closely with the National Return to Work Coordinator and our wider People and Culture Team. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction on all new claims to achieve successful outcomes for all work-related injuries Receive all notifications of incidents and advise, support and discuss with Centre Managers, injured team members and the nominated insurer in each State’s jurisdiction. Lodge claims with the relevant insurer on a national basis ensuring legislative time frames are met Support Centre Managers coordinating relevant information relating to incidents and injury/ illness as required Advise Managers and Injured team members on the notification, actions and safety investigations processes and actions advised by our state nominated insurers.
Drive recovery at work and develop a return to work plans to support our people in achieving their return to work goals in a speedy, safe and meaningful manner Drive and oversee timely review for upgrades and attend Insurer Claims Reviews Submission of timely PIAWE calculations, to payroll each week. Submission of all remittance and reimbursements to the accounts team. About You 3 years Claims experience – Return to work Coordinator Training and or experience highly regarded or willing to obtain.
