Full time role with 0.3 time allocation and Coordinator allowance. Secondary teaching load- subject dependent upon successful applicants academic qualifications.
POSITION OUTLINE: The Manager of Secondary School Operations is accountable for the overall organisation, planning and running of the day to day operations of the Secondary School and reports to the Head of Secondary School. The Manager of Secondary School Operations will work closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal and the Head of Secondary School in coordinating all aspects of curriculum delivery and assessment for students in Years 7 to 12. The Manager of Secondary School Operations will support the Principal and Head of School in providing outstanding education for all students and provide leadership in managing and developing St Columba Anglican School and its programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all resources to ensure the highest standard of student learning is realised working within the parameters established by NESA, the School Council and its strategic development plan. Co-ordinate the teaching staff relief cover, including liaising with casual staff, duty rosters and examination timetables. Chair the Academic Committee.
Develop and implement strategies to communicate and deliver curriculum, assessment, student development and holistic duty of care for students to maximise learning, overall well being and development. All members of teaching staff are responsible to the Principal, through the Head of School, for supporting the day-to-day running of the academic, cultural, sporting and social aspects of the school. Secondary School at St Columba Anglican School includes students from Years 7 to Year 12.
All teachers will actively assist in maintaining appropriate levels of student discipline and School tone in such a way that reinforces the high expectations of parents, the Principal and School Council.
