The Urban Development Consulting Division of SMEC employs professional staff including Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Town Planners, Urban Designers and Master Planners, Landscape Architects and Project Managers. We provide integrated consulting services needed to plan, design, construct and manage projects from concept to completion. The role We are currently seeking Surveyor Assistant to join our regional office in Traralgon, their primary focus in on engineering survey projects.

Key responsibilities will include: Use and care of surveying equipment Undertaking instructions and assisting Senior Surveyors Assisting with data transfer, field survey set-out & data collection, reduction and processing Survey Processing/Drafting using LisCAD, MicroStation and other survey related packages Self-checking and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team Suitable applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: VCE Year 12 Mathematics & English (or equivalent) General understanding of spatial information & mapping Proven experience of working in the Australian market Previous experience in Australian survey field (preferred) Possess a current Victorian Drivers License Awareness of safe work practices In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy that offers a wide range of experience and responsibilities.
