About the role: The Senior Business Development Manager’s (SBDM) role is to effectively grow the company's market share through the development, implementation, and maximisation of enterprise-sized acquisition sales opportunities for Optus Enterprise. The SBDM role is an Executive Sales Professional who will operate within a Sales Matrix structure and will be responsible for forming and leading a virtual team from the resources cross company, including partners, managing the sales opportunity process from qualification, opportunity plans and running Win-Labs to maximize the opportunity while selling all Optus Enterprise products and services into Optus Enterprise acquisition/ prospect accounts and assigned pursuits.
SBDM’s operate in a High Risk/ High Reward role and are a customer-facing executive owner for large deal pursuit, assists and coaches Demand generation of Acquisition and Whole of Business opportunities. In addition to growing delivering new revenue. The key to the role is to develop and maintain high-level client relationships with CXO level (CEO, CIO, CFO, COO CDO) and demonstrate strong sales planning skills, ability to create and execute strategy and have problem solving for solution development skills to grow SingTel Optus’ penetration of their addressable New Mobile Fleets, Fixed Data, Voice business and ICT products.
The Deal Team will operate predominantly within the Tier 1 & 2 customer segment, working on Digital Core deals with sales cycles time from 6 months to 12 months and contract values $2m TCV minimum up to $100m TCV which will create our next generation of Strategic accounts. Key Accountabilities: Develop and implement account sales strategy and programs. Develop and implement customer growth and acquisition strategies and programs to the customer base through identification of their communications needs, spend profile and opportunities.
Ensure Share of Wallet, Cross-Sell and Retention Strategies are introduced to customers through identification of their communications needs, spend profile and opportunities Liaise and collaborate with other functional groups within Optus and Optus Enterprise including marketing, customer service and customer operations and networks. Maintain forecasting of pipeline and committed sales results in line with Sales best practice.
