Our client AGL Energy are on the lookout for an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join them on a 6-month contract. The incumbent will display behaviours which reflect and actively demonstrate alignment to the AGL Values of: Care in every action, Integrity always, Better together, Deliver your best, Shape tomorrow The purpose of this role is to manage the execution coordinate and deliver the consolidated annual budget, three-year plan, quarterly forecasts, management and external reporting for Customer Markets (CM) and Future Business & Technology (FB&T). Key accountabilities of this role Planning, Analysis and Reporting Lead the coordination and delivery of the CM annual budget, three-year plan and quarterly forecasts.
Lead the coordination and delivery of monthly management reporting for CM, including the Business Performance Report, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis. Lead the coordination of Risk & Opportunities process to provide up-to-date performance outlook. Establish strong relationship with Group Finance to ensure alignment on scope, timing, and prioritization of all key deliverables.
External Market Reporting. Lead the preparation of half-year and full-year reporting requirements for external stakeholders, including the OFR, SMRL and Investor Pack. Lead the preparation of supporting data and insightful commentary for the CM & FB&T Leadership Team to understand key variance drivers and metrics.
Lead the co-ordination across the CM and FB&T commercial teams by establishing clear approach, deliverables and timelines, working closely with the rest of the team to ensure it is clearly communicated and achievable. Other and Ad-hoc Responsibilities Identify and lead delivery of continuous improvement in reporting and budget/planning processes to continue to drive improved efficiency and more insightful reporting and analysis Establish and lead reporting best practice and tools which can be leveraged by the broader CM and FP&A teams to improve reporting efficiency, standardization, and improved insights for business stakeholders. Provide appropriate specialist input and support to key projects or ad-hoc initiatives as they arise, or provide ad-hoc analysis and insight as requested by Leadership Teams.
Demonstrate leadership within the CM Commercial Finance team by providing value-add contributions to help provide guidance, clarity and support on key deliverables, and help drive actions to support engagement. Qualifications, key skills and experience required You're passionate about Financial Planning & Analysis, are an advocate for your client and you have previous experience in this type of role. You have exceptional interpersonal communication skills - both written and verbal- combined with the ability to relate to people at all levels and adapt your approach as required.
