Waste Transfer Station OperatorBanyule City Council
The Operations Department is looking for a Waste Transfer Station Operator to assist with maintenance and upkeep of the operations depot. You will be the first point of contact when residents and customers bring waste and recycling to the transfer centre. You will be customer focused & experienced in receipting and handling of money.
You will have flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays & early starts on a rostered basis. You will have: Experience in frontline customer management Experience in the receipt of and handling of monies Willingness and capacity to work in a hands-on outdoor role in the waste industry Basic computer and systems skills sufficient to use email, use OHS software on tablet computers, computerised industrial machinery, and operate EFTPOS and weighbridge software Licence and competencies to: Drive Heavy Combination (HC) vehicle Operate Forklift What’s on offer: Temporary full-time position 30 August 2021 to 26 August 2022 Fortnightlyâ¯RDO An attractive salary of $69,903.74 plus super Employment Screening Checks: National Criminal Record Check Pre-employment Functional Assessment Check Working With Children Check For more information about this position please access a copy of the position description via the link below or contact Andrew Croft, Waste Management Coordinator, on 0394904589.
