Our Metro Allied Health Team (The Wesley and St Andrews) provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services in many clinical areas; working with patients to maximise their physical potential and restore movement and function, providing treatment integral to recovery from surgery, illness and injury. The Role: Our Allied Health Service employs a range of professionals who work as a multi-disciplinary team to provide our patients with "whole person" health care, providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services in many clinical areas. Joining our team as an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to maximise their function and independence in their daily activities.
Our Occupational Therapy Service is frequently involved in the care of patients, referred by specialist doctors, in the neurology, surgery, orthopaedics, oncology, palliative care and medical units of the hospital. With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation; bringing an open, collaborative approach to patient-centred care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Minimum 2 years’ post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting Experience in inpatient rehab, acute services and neuro day rehab Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration Strong, evidence-based clinical practice and problem-solving skills Commitment to teamwork and high-level communication skills Occassional weekend work may be rostered, penalties & allowances will apply Supporting you to support others: As the largest NFP provider of health, aged & community services in Queensland, we believe in unique and holistic care, prioritising the individual to nurture physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
