ICT Monitoring Engineer - Team Leader


We are seeking an experienced ICT Monitoring Engineer to lead a team of engineers within our IT operations group. You will be leading two small sub-teams: One responsible for Backups, and the other responsible for Monitoring, Automation and Patching of our clients' infrastructure and blueAPACHE's multi-tenanted infrastructure environments. The goal of this role is to ensure the team can deliver its objectives.

This includes ensuring the team has adequate experience and skills. The role requires the drive and dedication to continuously develop and improve the products and environment to complement what is already in place for BlueAPACHE and its clients. This role is a hands-on role requiring both people management and technical skills.

In addition to team leadership duties, responsibilities include: Monitoring tools ownership and management currently but not limited to Solarwinds Orion & N-Able’s N-Central. Resolve tickets allocated to the teams to assist with team workload. To look for ways to create efficiency in the delivery teams by identifying manual and complex tasks, which can be automated.

Scripting and automation (e.g SQL, VB, WMI, Batch). Evaluation and selection of tools to meet business requirements.

Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced Systems Engineer with a very sound and broad infrastructure background. Skills and experience include: Management or Team Leader experience in managing a team of highly skilled engineers. Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Service Provider, or similar organisation is highly regarded.

At least 2 Years administering network monitoring software (e.g. Solarwinds, N-Able, BMC Portal/Patrol, SCOM etc).

At least 2 years administering RMM (Remote Management & Monitoring) software (e.g. N-Central, N-Able, Kaseya, ConnectWise).

Experience around events to ticket management workflow using scripting and tools like OpsGenie IT experience working with servers and other backend infrastructure. Industry experience working within the ITIL framework.
