A position for a sous chef has become available in a growing restaurant business. A successful candidate will have at least a diploma in a relevant field and/or 3 years of experience in a relevant field and 2 years of experience with a corporate and fine dining environment. Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities will include: Overseeing the daily operation of the kitchen Planning and developing menus Effectively manage food cost and ensure optimum productivity levels with the kitchen team Be creative in the design and implementation of ongoing food concept Prepare employee work schedules on a daily basis Effective recruitment, training, development, and coaching of all kitchen team Maintaining WH & S and HACCP implementaton across kitchen areas The successful applicant will have: Possess excellent communication, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills coupled with strong problem solving skills Ability to manage a brigade and contribute as part of a team Recent and checkable work references are essential In return we offer a highly competitive salary and always reward success, as well as, a host of other in house perks As we receive a high volume of applications for our vacancies, we will only contact you directly should you be successful through to the next stage of our recruitment process Please provide your resume upon application.
