Social Media Coordinator Required State Government Department on 6 Month Contract Your new company A new opportunity has become available to be apart of a busy Government department as a Social Media Coordinator. This role is based on a 6 month contract on a full time basis. Your new role As the Social Media Coordinator, you will coordinate the management of this department’s social media channels.

As Social Media Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include; Measure and monitor reports on department social media channels through analytics and other monitoring tools. Liaise with internal teams to seek information and approved responses to questions. Evaluate social media engagement and refine social media content to continually improve quality, accessibility and effectiveness of key messages.

Assist with ongoing development, implementation and review of the department social media communications and strategy. Research best practices in public sector social media and identify opportunities to apply new technologies and processes to improve social media channel management. What you'll need to succeed As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be able to demonstrate experience in social media communication and/or digital marketing, including the ability to effectively use social media tools as part of communication and marketing strategies.

You will have experience using and reporting on analytics. A practical interest in researching emerging technologies and the ability to develop insightful reports that will inform communication strategies and marketing campaigns. Willingness to work outside normal business hours (including participation in the team on call roster).
