About This Opportunity The Director, Client Partnering is responsible for leading the Faculty Professional Services Teams (PSTs) at The University of Queensland. PSTs consist of financial professionals embedded with the Faculties they serve, providing advisory and transaction services. This position will lead the establishment and implementation of best practice practices that ensures the Faculties receive the financial support necessary to meet their teaching and research mission, while remaining financially sustainable.
This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus , renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university. Our Ideal Candidate You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in accounting, business, commerce, or a related field, coupled with experience in leading a Finance function in a large and complex organisation.
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of senior finance professionals delivering a high level of advisory and transactional services is essential in this position, as is a strong understanding and vision of Finance as a contemporary value-adding service. A consultative, verbal communication style combined with strong interpersonal skills is required, together with the capacity to persuade and negotiate with clients and stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
