The Company An Accountant will be an integral position for Buildsmart (Aust.) Pty Ltd due to our expansion plan. This position will help us complying with Australian Tax laws, proper forecasting and budgeting are incredibly important functions.
The wide varieties of tasks such as cash flows, budgeting, cost variances, income and expenditure, ledger and monthly or yearly closing in system must be undertaken by an accountant. Role Outline: An Accountant will be responsible for monitoring the day to day Accounting transactions as well as timely reporting and preparation of financial reports and taxation matters. Eligibility Criteria • At least Bachelor or higher degree with major in Accounting • 2-3 years previous experience in a similar position • You must be Australian Citizen/Permanent resident or have proper working rights in Australia Key Responsibilities: • Involved in preparing the business Activities statement (BAS), profit & loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flow and financial statement.
• Monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans • Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information • Involved in executing bank reconciliation procedures. • Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports. • Analysing current and past financial data • Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends • Conducting financial statement analysis, budgeting and cash flow according to company policies and in consultation with the management.
• Thoroughly analyze financial data to improve fiscal health and develop actionable insights that drive business performance • Develop forecast models based on metrics to implement improvements as the business grows • Exploring different investment opportunities • Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts • Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth • Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation • Develop business cases to support decision-making and support pricing decisions by creating innovative strategies for cost reduction • Establish and guide restructured cost analysis processes by creating fresh policies and procedures • Assisting in resolving accounting discrepancies, profit and loss statement, budgeting, managing ledgers, cost accounting report. • Involved in calculating company’s annual business tax, seeking plans for improving business structures and timely reporting to manager. • Performing the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, monthly closing, and yearly closing procedures in XERO or any other software used by business.
