Panel Shop Manager

About the company: VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Panel Shop Manager for our client. Our client, Western General Bodyworks Group is the leading provider of hassle-free smash repairs located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are Automotive Experts and Industry Leaders with over 40 years of experience.

Responsibilities Ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop staff, delegating duties and that the appropriate method of repair is adhered to. Ensure the site remains a safe working environment for all staff Process vehicles upon arrival Assist with the ordering and receipting of parts, paint and consumables Manage the repair process to ensure timely, cost-effective quality repairs are carried out Manage the production of the site to meet the set productivity targets and customer expectations Assist in the management of the site to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction Oversee the housekeeping within the workshop Run production meetings to communicate priorities to staff. Perform in-process quality control checks to ensure company standards are met.

Immediately identify and address any quality issues or production delays. Perform final quality inspection prior to the delivery of the vehicle to customers. Other duties as assigned.

Remuneration & Hours $100,000 - $120,000 inclusive of Super for the right candidate. The Candidate: 3 years of body shop experience including Body, Paint, Estimating, or Management Previous experience in a similar management role within the industry Cert IV in Automotive refinishing (or equivalent) – ideally Trade Certified Ability to set and adhere to deadlines A highly professional manner and work ethic. Excellent time management, problem-solving, verbal, communication and organisational skills.

Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office. The ability to motivate, manage your team to achieve common goals. Knowledge of financial service processes including payroll accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations is preferable.

Demonstrated ability to meet month-end closing and statutory deadlines is desirable. Experience in dealing with high volumes of insurance related matters.
