ISG ELECTRICAL Position : Full Time Location : Taylors Beach NSW 2316 Salary : $55,000 - $65,000 a year ISG Electrical is a switchboard manufacturing company based at Taylors Beach NSW. We Supply & Manufacture of Electrical and Sheet Metal Requirements Australia-Wide. Our services include Electrical Switchboard Manufacturer, Sheetmetal Design and Engineering Assembly, Turret Punch, CNC Metal Folding Machine, Welding Services and Delivery.
We are currently looking for experienced mechanical design engineer to join our team on permanent full-time basis. You will work with team of Electrical engineers providing mechanical design expertise to develop company products. Duties and Responsibilities: Design and develop Electrical Switchboard Enclosures as per Australian Standards and Service and Installation Rules of different states.
Research and Development tasks to improve switchboard designs to comply with IEC 61439 and AS/NZ 61439 switchboard standard. Design SolidWorks Models of Electrical Switchboards for fabrication of enclosure and design verification requirements as per AS3439, AS3000, IEC61439, IEC60439 and AS/NZ 61439. Verification of Mechanical and Thermal stability of the design and products using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
Design ventilation systems in switchboards for various Ingress Protection requirements. Design and model various mounting methods for electrical equipment ensuring their Mechanical Stability to withstand various fault conditions. Preparation of technical drawings, fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials.
Direct the production unit to follow the design during various manufacturing processes. Design modifications to adopt commercially viable enclosure systems. We require someone with the following: Engineering degree in mechanical is preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanical design engineer. Proficient computer skills, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Word, and Excel. Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA)/SolidWorks Flow.
Practical knowledge of compliance to IEC 61439. Proven experience in applying SIR rules & energy consumption metering/management regulations to power enclosure designs. Excellent communication and technical expertise in mechanical engineering design.
