Integration Services Lead

The objective of the Integration Services Lead is to deliver and manage an integration centre of excellence across Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer’s digital technology assets for integration engineering, supporting wider change programmes, and assist to drive high standards for quality and performance, following best practices. The airline has now re-launched as a mid-market carrier with a renewed focus on small and medium sized businesses, price-sensitive corporates, premium leisure travellers and holiday makers. You will deliver a pivotal integration capability working with the internal teams and vendors on creation of new microservices and the migration program of existing SOA services which will enable VA & VFF to have greater integration across platforms aligned to the Technology strategic roadmap.

About the role: In this role you will develop a service model creating integration assets from the centre that can be utilised and enhanced at the edge by technology teams. You have the skills to present a vision, direction and lead programs to integrate assets to drive value from integration. You will be proactive in building relationships and collaborating closely with both the business and software development teams to add value to digital componentry and assist to deliver customer facing digital assets.

You will manage and motivate the integration team with to comply with design standards, patterns and automation of integration assets that have been defined by our Integration Architects and Technical lead. You will play a critical role in the direction of our MicroServices development by planning, directing, and coordinating the design and development with our Architecture team, whilst continuously evaluate the software development team's work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations. The Integration Services Lead will also be the key point of contact for the product owners in delivering their product vision and roadmap Key Accountabilities: Provide technical oversight and management Maintaining the project technical vision clear for everyone, from beginning to end Work with enterprise architects on the security, scalability, robustness attributes of the solution and get required endorsement.
