ABOUT THE ROLE 12 Month Max Term Opportunity This role is responsible for the processing of end to end payroll functions for multiple AFL Clubs and associated entities on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis including general payroll administrative tasks as required. The AFL is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our care. The AFL undertakes several screening processes to ensure the appropriate protection of children in its care.

Please note, employment in this position is subject to the successful candidate holding a Valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory criminal history record check. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF End to End payroll processing - working with various clubs and AFL entities to process payroll for various employment types Processing of manual and online timesheets through the payroll system Processing and calculating termination payments Producing month end reports and balancing and posting general ledgers Processing payroll tax and superannuation Calculation of payroll tax on a monthly basis and preparing end of year reconciliation Processing and maintaining superannuation monthly via clearing house Processing monthly payments through finance system OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail Excellent time management with the ability to perform under pressure Customer focused Effective communication Ability to work as a team and independently Experience with Sage Micropay Superannuation and Payroll tax legislation knowledge Prior experience in end-to-end payroll Proficiency in Excel (desirable) Experience using Great Plains finance system (desirable) OUR CULTURE www.afl.
