LUC/Approval Support Officer Work location: Perth Roster: Monday to Friday The Land Management System (LMS) team are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking an LUC Support Officer to assist with the ongoing continuous improvement, system support and to provide forward facing support to the business. The LMS is used by several business functions and has a growing footprint in the business.
Areas covered include Tenement Management, Heritage, Land Clearing and Aboriginal Development. The application is integrated with a number of other applications both internal and external. Integration with our GIS applications is of particular importance.
Additional training in approvals and related information will be provided. Key accountabilities will include: Software Quality Assurance – for day-to-day functions and enhancement cycles User Training – including possible site visitation within the Pilbara region User Support – covering both Perth based and site-based teams Application Monitoring – health checks, troubleshooting Understanding of approvals processes Understanding of land clearing and related land use for mining purposes Work with primary and secondary approval stakeholders Identify and manage risks to both system and approvals Qualifications and skills required: Experience in the activities listed above is highly desirable Experience in IT Highly desirable are knowledge of GIS and knowledge of the Mining industry The ability to do database queries (SQL) would be an advantage High level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to navigate a complex approvals environment Preferred attributes: Help Desk Experience in an IT capacity Personable and friendly with diverse range of stakeholders Problem solving and ability to think strategically Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Databases and Application support Gap analysis and fault-finding with data sets AGILE work experience Our values drive our culture and performance through a strong focus on safety, family and determination.
