Project Engineer / Project Manager - Snowy Hydro 2.0


We are seeking an Experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to work on across Geotech works on The Snowy Hydro 2.0. Our Client is a Ground Engineering company who provides innovative restricted access solutions across civil, ground engineering, mining, rail, and infrastructure.

About the Role This role will be most suitable to someone who enjoys working on site on ground engineering solutions and who enjoys a challenge. You must be comfortable with working in a remote, location on a 14:7 (2:1) roster.

The successful applicant will have good commercial acumen, people management, interpersonal skills and technical ability. The position is initially based on site in NSW, however you may need to DIDO to work at the Sydney head office from time to time. Experience Required 5 years' ground engineering and/or project management experience Construction techniques in ground engineering for slopes, retaining walls and foundations Demonstrable track record for delivering ground engineering projects for civil contractors.

Soil mechanics, rock anchors, shotcreting. Tertiary qualification across Civil, Geology or Ground Engineering Experience in managing multiple, small to medium projects Soil nailing, ground anchors, shotcrete, micro piling and injection grouting etc. Key project management skills developed through practical experience running live construction projects to hit the ground running Excellent time management for tight deadlines Strong attention to detail.

First-hand experience and knowledge of Australian standards ISO 45001:2018; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 9001:2015 Minimum experience 5 years on civil construction project sites Working at Heights, White Card (desired) FULL AUSTRALIAN WORK RIGHTS ONLY Duties & Responsibilities Working with the Ground Engineering Operations Manager and Operations teams, the Project Engineer / Project Manager is specifically responsible for the following: Ensuring a full understanding of contractual obligations regarding the awarded tender for Ground and Civil works, including time and commercial constraints, sub-contractors, quality assurance and health and safety allowances for all work. Lead the site team to the successful completion of the project, showing leadership and sound decision-making skills. Availability for field-based aspects of projects.

This may involve travel to sites and nights away when attending site meetings, inspections, or day to day supervision of works. Timely delivery and planning of the project with accurate reporting to senior management. Cost control, and financial tracking of projects.

Managing the Quality assurance and delivering a high standard of project to the client. Develop H&S and environmental documentation and ensure the project plans are followed. Negotiating with suppliers to get the best prices and supply terms.
